For the second consecutive year Intercontinental Bali Resort has been ranked one of Bali’s Top 10 Family-Friendly Resorts for 2012. This poll was conducted by ‘Holidays with Kids’, Australia’s leading family travel and lifestyle magazine that helps parents plan for the holiday of a lifetime.

Readers were asked to vote for the best family-friendly resorts they’ve encountered based on several aspects. The availability of activities and facilities for children, babysitting services, staff hospitality, safety, standard of accommodation and location were all taken into account. The survey also covered the two essential areas of value for money and overall experience.

InterContinental Bali Resort moves into second placed in this year’s poll with nominations coming from a vast readership of over 600,000 parents and 53,000 online members. ‘Holiday’s with Kids’ is distributed to readers and travel agents throughout Australia. It is also available on Qantas flights, McDonald’s restaurants and Rebel Sport stores.

The Resort has always been firm favourite with family travellers of every nationality. Many parents appreciate the property’s secure location, which is significantly removed from the hustle and bustle of mainstream tourism. Another benefit is direct access to a long stretch of white sand beach and the gentle waters of Jimbaran Bay that are safe for swimming and surfing lessons. Given that the Resort is set within an extensive landscape of green lawns and shady tropical palms, there is also plenty of space for children run around and play.

Planet Trekkers at InterContinental Bali Resort is a dedicated children’s facility that takes the holiday needs of young travellers into careful consideration. This fully supervised centre provides a full schedule of fun activities including games and culturally-inspired pastimes to keep children occupied for hours. Planet Trekkers has an indoor club house with interactive work stations, computer terminals and story telling area. There is also an outdoor play environment with its own pool and mini basketball court.

“To be nominated as one of Bali’s Top Ten Family-Friendly Resorts is indeed a major achievement. The Resort has always taken extra special measures to accommodate families travelling with children. Planet Trekkers is a truly unique facility in that it caters to the needs of toddlers up to teens with age-appropriate activities designed to enrich each and every stay,” comments Mr. Tom Meyer, General Manager of InterContinental Bali Resort.
