Stone carving is an essential art-form for the Balinese. Every kind of stone sculpture is at the resort, from deities to demons; animals like turtles, dragons, and fishes and they line from the entrance spread throughout our grounds. Traditionally, stone carvers produced works for temple and palace gateways. Gateways represent the division between the inner and outer worlds, normally in the form of a demon to maintain security. The demon form is also designed to scare visitors into behaving well once inside.
From June to August is the windy season in Bali. You know what it means? It’s KITE season! Traditional giant kites (4 metres in width and almost 10 metres in length) are made by men in one village (Banjar).
