InterContinental Bali Resort Welcomes Christian Fumado as Director of Food & Beverage

InterContinental Bali Resort is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Mr. Christian Fumado as Director of Food & Beverage. He has arrived in Bali direct from a two year stint with the newly opened InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Vietnam. This was a pre-opening role that involved the conceptualization and set up of five dining venues.

Christian is a Catalan national with an extensive background having worked in 3 and 2 Michelin star rated establishments in England, such as Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons and The Waterside Inn as well as Switzerland at Le Domaine de Chateauvieux. He trained under the tutelage of some of Europe’s finest culinary experts as a Chef de Rang before moving into the role of Maître d’hôtel.

In 2008 Christian joined the pre-opening team for Atlantis The Palm Jumeirah in Dubai as a Restaurant Director for a fine dining restaurant headed by a Catalan celebrity chef Santi Santamaria. He then moved to The St.Regis Singapore as Director of Food & Beverage where he controlled kitchen refurbishments and instigated a highly-anticipated calendar of social dining events.

At InterContinental Bali Resort, Christian is now responsible for Food and Beverages. This involves overseeing the daily operations of five restaurants, two bars and Banquets, each with its own distinct character and style of cuisine. He will work closely with the Executive Chef to revitalize dining concepts and entice the appetites of a diverse audience of international guests.
