Tegenungan Waterfall – Ubud
You can find the Tegenungan Waterfall in the village of Ubud. You’ll enjoy beautiful lush scenery along with natural springs that make this the perfect spot for bathing. This waterfall has a heavy flow, and this helps to ensure that the water is crystal clear and clean. It has a west-facing location, so you’ll get the most beautiful vistas in the evening hours where you can see the setting sun.

Tukad Cepung Waterfall – Tembuku
Located just 30 kilometres north-west of Ubud in the Tembuku region, you’ll find a truly beautiful waterfall in Tukad Cepung. This waterfall is still not visited by large thongs of tourists because it is not easy to spot and requires a little bit of trekking and guidance by the local villagers. The waterfall is surrounded by cliffs and after descending the stairs, you’ll see why it’s worth the effort. Sometimes you can see an enchanting rainbow form on the top of the waterfall from below!

NungNung Waterfall – Petang
The NungNung Waterfall sits 900 meters or 2,953 feet above sea level in a very small village. You can park your car and hike through the beautiful green jungle before you descend over 500 steps to glimpse the waterfall. It’s over 50 meters (164 feet) high and cascades down rock and jungle face to fall into a serene pool that is perfect for photographs.
- Hidden Gem – Surrounding this waterfall and expanding out to the main plantation just over eight miles away from the NungNung Waterfall is the lush Tegalalang Rice Terrace. You’ll want to stop and take in the panoramic view, and you may even be invited in by the farmer who runs it to try fresh coconut milk and purchase Balinese woven hats.
Aling-Aling Waterfall – Sambangan
The Aling-Aling Waterfall cascades down from a cliff edge, and these cliffs extend around to surround this waterfall. There are also beautiful trees bracketing in the waterfall as well. The water ends up in a crystal clear plunge pool with a shower-like spray that’s perfect for diving, swimming, and just relaxing and enjoying the view.
- Hidden Gem – This waterfall is perfect for adventure seekers and adrenaline junkies because you’ll be able to experience the natural slide that runs along the falls. You’ll slide down the full 35 meters (115 feet) of the waterfall to end in the crystal-clear plunge pool. There are also seven different waterfalls in the area to visit.
Niagara Munduk – Buleleng
Lush rainforests tuck around this waterfall, and it’s just a short walk from the Munduk Village. You’ll see two waterfalls when you visit this location, and the waterfall itself pools into two twin lakes. It has a variety of beautiful rice fields and plantations, and it’s all set against a backdrop of Bali’s mountains.
- Hidden Gem – The Waterfall-Breeze Eco Cafe offers a stunning view of the Niagara Munduk waterfall, and it’s a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat. Guests can enjoy a light snack or lunch while they drink locally-grown coffee or one of the many beverage choices available. It’s also a great spot to take photographs.
