INTERCONTINENTAL BALI RESORT APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF

Christophe DepuichaffrayInterContinental Bali Resort is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Mr. Christophe Depuichaffray as Executive Chef. He comes to the island of Bali direct from Hotel InterContinental San Francisco, USA where he successful held an equivalent position for several years.

Chef Christophe is a French national who brings a wealth of culinary experience to the resort. His career has taken him to various locations around the globe to lead multi-cultural teams and share his passion for good food that is cooked with integrity.

In the early years of his career Chef Christophe had the opportunity to perfect his culinary skills in a number of Michelin star-rated restaurants in France as well as Germany. He joined IHG in 1994 and has been with the luxury hotel and resort brand every since. Chef Christophe’s background in fine dining served him well during a succession of senior Food & Beverage appointments in Egypt, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam and Spain.

Chef Christophe’s role at InterContinental Bali Resort will be to refresh the menus at four distinct venues and elevate the overall concept of Food & Beverage services. He is expected to inspire junior members of his kitchen team and delight discerning travellers with his cuisine. Chef Christophe is currently familiarizing himself with locally sourced ingredients including fresh JimbaranBay seafood and produce grown in the resort’s very own vegetable garden.
