Following a series of intensive simulation exercises and evacuation drills, InterContinental Bali Resort is now Re-Certified ‘Tsunami Ready’.
This certification was recently carried out by a private consulting company specializing in the implementation of international tsunami safety standards. ‘Tsunami Ready’ is actively supported by the Bali Hotel Association (BHA) and cooperates with Indonesia’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism as well as ASEAN.
The Resort’s team leaders had the opportunity to refresh their skills and are now fully prepared to handle a tsunami emergency situation. These exercises involved the process of evacuating the guests and the employees to a safe environment is a timely and efficient manner as well as securing Resort assets.
“The Tsunami Ready Certification reinforces our resort commitment to protect our guests, employees and assets in the event of a tsunami.
